We have our roots in the High Tech Park in Minsk, Belarus, currently one of the High Tech Hot spots in Eastern Europe. Minsk is well known for its academic and technological achievements, kick-started after the Second World War, when Minsk became the technological capital of the Soviet Union. During that time all Soviet Hardware and Software was developed in Minsk, The biggest truck and tractor plants were to be found in Minsk and Minsk had an enormous amount of institutes and universities where groundbreaking technology was developed for the military and space programs of the USSR.
From the remanence of the USSR, Belarus decided to create a special commercial center for High Tech Companies, called High tech Park. HTP currently employs more than 15.000 scientists and programmers, and contributes already for more than 5% to the Gross Domestic Product of Belarus.
